What I Wore in Antarctica

See this content in the original post

So turns out Antarctica is actually a lot warmer in the summer than I originally thought- most days it was around 8-10°C, but sometimes it reached a high of 14°C. However, there were a few days where it went down in the negatives, and then I was so grateful that I brought proper winter gear to keep me nice and cozy while watching the penguins!

I dressed more ‘stylish’ while on the boat, as I could always take layers on and off, etc. But when we went on land expeditions, I always wore my Kombi base layers, Rudsak snow pants, Kombi gloves, and then one of my winter jackets + hats. The weather in Antarctica can change in an instant, and I always wanted to make sure I would be adequately dressed.

Here is a breakdown of everything I packed- scroll down to see what Kaan wore:

*on our Antarctica expedition, we were provided with special boots by Albatros Expeditions to prevent any contamination on land. Also, flipflops and sneakers are great for the hot tubs and drinks at the bar.
