The Udaya
This is one of our favourite boutique hotels in Bali. The rooms are lovely and the service is impeccable. You can book anything from a regular garden view room to a private pool villa suite. You can book a floating breakfast in the main pool or in your private pool suite. The Udaya also does the best flower baths in all of Bali! The Udaya offers a welcome 15 minute foot massage and tea time.
Aura house bali, south ubud
This is the coolest tree house we have ever stayed in! Located inside the environmentally conscious Green Village, 30 minutes south of Ubud, this 2 bedroom Airbnb will exceed your expectations. The bedrooms are fully sealed, while the living room is open air. The house is perched on a ravine, so you listen to the sounds of the jungle while you fall asleep. If you’re lucky, you might even see a thunderstorm at night.
There is a restaurant and a bigger swimming pool onsite, so you can easily laze away your days here.
Adiwana Dara Ayu
Adiwana’s Dara Ayu location is about 45 minutes north of Ubud, secluded in a peaceful Balinese village. Here you have beautiful rice terraces surrounded by lush jungle. There are no tv’s in the rooms, and no distractions, making it a perfect place to reconnect. You have 3 villas that offer private pools and the 3 rooms that are inside the main house can use the main infinity pool and splash pool. Some of the rooms offer outdoor bathtubs- making it the perfect place to enjoy a romantic jungle bubble bath and take some great Instagram photos.
This resort is meant for the more adventurous as the rooms are not fully sealed. Keep in mind that because you are in the middle of the jungle, you will occasionally find bugs in your room, especially if you leave the lights on at night. There is a mosquito nest to put around your bed, which is super comforting to fall asleep in.
Mid Price Range ($100+ per night)

The Jannata is a boutique hotel located 15 minutes north of Ubud, with a stunning infinity pool over looking the jungle. The rooms are true Bali style, the service is great, and they also offer turn down service. They have a beautiful outdoor bathtub in the spa that overlooks the jungle, which you can book to do a flower bath in. They have complimentary tea time as well in addition to a free 15 minute welcome foot massage.
Alaya Resort, Ubud
Alaya is located right in the centre of Ubud. If you are hoping to be able to walk around Ubud and be in the centre of all of the restaurants, this is the spot to stay at. There are no private pool suites here but they do have two pools- one a regular one and one an infinity pool one. They offer a hearty breakfast and complimentary tea time as well.
Sankara Suites & Villas, Ubud
The Sankara is 15 minutes north of Ubud, and features garden view rooms, jacuzzi suites, and private pool villas. They also have an impressive infinity pool overlooking the jungle and river below. Sankara offers complimentary tea time.

It is an outdoor, simple one bedroom bamboo house located in East Ubud, near Kanto Lampo, Tukad Chepung, Tegenungan, and Tibumana waterfalls. It is a very simple, but cute, accommodation that is perfect for a getaway, as there are no distractions around.
