We fell in love with Jordan. The culture, people, and nature. The historical sights, landscapes, and the cuisine. Jordan was one of the most beautiful countries we have ever experienced. Seeing Petra was always on top of our list of course, but we never expected Jordan to have so much more to offer. We rented a car and explored the country from top to bottom, east to west.

While a week is never enough time to see all the sights in Jordan, we definitely made the best use of our time and got to experience a good part of this gorgeous country. We also happened to find an amazing flight deal to Amman from Paphos, Cyprus for $3 which definitely sweetened the deal to visit Jordan- flights to Cyprus from Europe are super cheap!

Because of all of the turmoil happening around Jordan’s borders, a lot of Western tourists have been turned off from visiting. However, we found no issue with safety and Jordanian people are generally super warm and welcoming. Jordan needs tourists, and the locals are always happy to help. With that being said, as a female, you should cover up shoulders and knees when exiting the car and when walking around town.  As a female, Claudia avoided going to places on her own at night but other than that, we did not feel like we needed to take any extra precautions.
