My Go-To Skincare Routine
MY GO-TO SKINCARE ROUTINE
During these past few months of constant lockdowns and quarantine, I have spent A LOT of time and money on improving my skincare routine. Since I wasn’t going out at all, I figured I might as well cut back on make-up and invest in skincare. My logic: if my skin looks better, I could wear less makeup, and save money and time in the long run. Win-win for me!
Here are my go-to items I swear by. Some are drug-store products, others a little bit more high-end, but they work for me. I occasionally mix in a few other products, but this is what I use daily.
Jade Roller- I use this jade roller every morning. It honestly feels like you’re getting a face massage with your morning cup of coffee!
Cerave PM Lotion- This lotion keeps my face hydrated overnight and I wake up with my skin glowing- and the best part? It’s only $12!!
Foreo- This will keep your skin super clean after a long day. The brushes are gentle enough to go all over your skin and really get rid of all the dirt.
Laneige Lip Mask- I am obsessed with this lip mask! It keeps my lips super moisturized overnight and I wake up with the softest lips ever.
Supergoop Zinc Sunscreen- This is my daily sunscreen. I apply it as the final step in my skincare routine in the morning, and not only does it not clog my pores, but it blends in on my skin so well and does not make my face all white.
Skinceuticals C E Ferulic- By now you’ve probably heard the hype around Skinceuticals- and their hefty price tags! This company produces medical-grade skincare products, which means that there is a higher concentration of active ingredients in these products than in traditional over-the-counter lines you may find in places like Sephora. They’ve also been thoroughly tested, and are usually sold by physicians. So yes, while they are more expensive, they are way more likely to be effective. It also means with such a high concentration of ingredients, you require less of the product. I have been using the C E Ferulic serum for the past 4 months and haven’t even used half the bottle, and I am seeing huge results! For me, this investment is worth it as I am buying less of other skincare and makeup products and sticking to things that are actually making a difference for me.
Lush Angels on Bare Skin Exfoliant- I use this exfoliant every other day to clear any dead skin and to help make my face look nice and dewy.
Cetaphil Gentle Foam Cleanser- I found this cleanser to be simple yet effective. I apply it on my face, then use my foreo to do a thorough clean. Also for $12, it lasts me 4-5 months which is a steal!!
