Our Stay At One of Mexico’s Most Luxurious Hotels: The Waldorf Astoria Pedregal (Hotel Review)
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be treated like Mexican royalty? During our trip to Los Cabos, we had the privilege of staying at the luxurious Waldorf Astoria Pedregal, and there was no shortage of royal treatment.

FIRST IMPRESSION
Upon arrival, we were met with a massive, open-air entrance decorated with dusty orange hues, sandy features and a striking view of the Pacific ocean that exuded a feeling of Mexican luxe. Water trickles down from the balcony to one of the three main pools on the property, which is surrounded by a gorgeous lounge area, backing onto the beach. We knew immediately that we were in for a memorable stay.
OUR SUITE
A set of wooden doors welcomed us into our spacious suite which featured a stunning black chandelier and a roaring fireplace in the main seating area. In our bedroom, we found a stately king sized bed that made us want to dive right into it. Even more impressive was the bathroom, which was almost like a private spa, complete with a lounge area and a luxurious rain shower. Just when we thought this suite couldn’t be more beautiful, we walked out onto the balcony where we were greeted with an outdoor fireplace, comfortable lounge chairs and our own private infinity pool which looked over the ocean.
COMPLIMENTARY OFFERINGS
At the Waldorf Astoria Pedregal, each room comes with a complimentary punch bowl, a lavish bottle of Clase Azul tequila, and a daily happy hour special from 4-6pm where complimentary guacamole and chips are served with cold bottles of Corona. Our reservation also included a full butler service, where we were able to reach our butler at any time via text message. These details made our stay even more indulgent- as if our oceanfront suite wasn’t enough.
SPA SERVICES
After a long, stressful day of lounging by the pool and watching whales leap out of the ocean, we were due for a spa treatment. We enjoyed an amazing couples massage, followed by a visit to the awe-inspiring spa pool which stretches from inside the treatment center to a relaxing outdoor lounge area overlooking the ocean.
THE EL FARALLON DINNER EXPERIENCE
One of our most memorable experiences at the Waldorf Astoria Pedregal was a private, four-course dinner which took place on a small landing nestled between large rocks where the ocean waves practically crash up right against you. We were the first guests ever to experience this, and the staff made it especially beautiful with a path of rose petals that led us down to our table. The experience began with a glass of champagne and a view of the beautiful Los Cabos sunset on the Champagne Terrace. Each course offered a feast of decadent seafood dishes prepared by the chefs at El Farallon. For dessert, our waiter brought out a bottle of tequila followed by a full s’mores setup complete with homemade marshmallows! I’m not sure if I’ve ever been so full in my life, but this meal was well worth the bloating.
LAST BREAKFAST IN PARADISE
We indulged in our last morning at the Waldorf Astoria with a floating breakfast which was served in our private pool. We hadn’t had one of these floating breakfast trays since our time in Bali; it was the perfect treat to end our stay!
